Jerry W. Burgess, D.D.S.
A native Texan, Dr. Burgess was born in Pampa, Texas and reared in Wheeler, Texas. He finished his pre-dental studies at Abilene Christian University while majoring in biology and chemistry and teaching labs. Dr. Burgess received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Dental Branch in the Houston Medical Center. He has lived out of Texas for only two years while completing military service in the U.S. Army Dental Corps in Alabama and overseas.
Dr. Burgess began his practice in Grapevine, Texas in 1971. He and his wife, Linda, have a daughter, Becca, and a son, Brian. Dr. Burgess and Linda have four grandsons and one granddaughter. Dr. Burgess and Linda live in Southlake, Texas.
Dr. Burgess believes in long term relationships based on trust and gentle care. Dr. Burgess has several families with whom he has treated three generations of patients. His main areas of dental interest are cosmetic, restorative, and geriatric care. Dr. Burgess enjoys the 'people' aspect of dentistry. Improving smiles and promoting overall health are his passions.
Dr. Burgess has been a member of numerous civic and professional organizations and has served on the Grapevine Planning and Zoning Board and the Advisory Board of the First National Bank of Grapevine. He has served as both deacon and elder in the Church of Christ.
In his spare time, Dr. Burgess enjoys hunting and fishing with his 'guys'. His family is his treasure.
Scott A. Mason, D.D.S.
Dr. Mason claimed Lubbock, Texas as home before attending Texas Tech University and Lubbock Christian University. He completed his pre-dental studies early at the University of Texas at Arlington before attending and receiving his doctor of dental surgery (D.D.S.) at Baylor College of Dentistry in 1993. He began his dental career in Grapevine in 1993 as Dr. Burgess's associate and became his partner in 1998.
Dr. Mason wears many 'hats' outside of dentistry. He has coached his two boys in baseball since 2000, serves as a deacon in his local church, and is a general partner for American Radiant Barrier, LLC in the DFW metroplex. He enjoys hunting and fishing with his boys, and spending valuable family time on the weekends.
Dr. Mason enjoys changing people's lives through dentistry, from full cosmetic smile makeovers to simple tooth-colored fillings and crowns. His technologically advanced CEREC® machine enables him to make and bond all-ceramic crowns and onlays in a single visit. He is very sensitive to making his patients as comfortable as possible while receiving dental care and feels patient satisfaction is his highest measure of success.
Dr. Mason is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Fort Worth District Dental Society, the Association of Alumni for Psi Omega Dental Fraternity, Grapevine Chamber of Commerce, Tarrant County Better Business Bureau, and the North Texas CEREC® Study Club. He and his wife, Cathy, reside in Keller, Texas, where they are raising their two sons.
Meet the Team
Dawn has been with our practice since 1992. She received her Dental Hygiene degree from Tarrant County College. She maintains continuing education classes yearly to expand her dental hygiene knowledge and is an expert in periodontal therapy. Dawn enjoys the close bond she forms with patients as she provides superior preventive care, and is committed to not only patients ' dental health, but also patients' overall health. She is a native to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and resides in Grapevine, Texas with her husband Don and their children Jared and Sydney.
Emily has been an asset to our office since the summer of 2006. She is one of the first friendly faces you will see when you walk in our front door. Emily is extremely knowledgeable with insurance, billing, and schedule management. What Emily loves most about her job is the ability to utilize insurance benefits and work out payment options that will best help patients maintain their dental health. Emily lives in Fort Worth with her husband Brad and daughter Ashlynn.
Linnea has been a member of our hygiene team since July 2008. She graduated from Texas Tech University in 2006, and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Baylor College of Dentistry in 2008. Linnea is dedicated to educating patients on oral health issues and stays up to date with the latest technology and procedures. She lives in Keller, Texas with her husband Cory and their son Finn.
Angela joined our practice in October of 2009 as a hygienist and became the team leader. Angela keeps the practice running smooth so that you get the attention you need in a timely manner. You will find her doing everything from assisting patients in the chair to answering phones. Angela started working in a dental office when she was 16 years old. Most notably, she spent some time working in an AIDS Clinic at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and more recently was a hygienist at a large practice in Northern Virginia. Angela lives in Keller, Texas with her husband Tim and daughters Riley and Barrett.
Ashleigh has been with our practice since 2010 and graduated valedictorian of her class as a Registered Dental Assistant in 2008. She will capture you with her infectious laugh and easygoing personality. She enjoys playing softball in the Spring and Summer along with swimming, gardening, riding horses and just about anything having to do with the outdoors. Ashleigh and her husband reside in Northeast Ft. Worth and have been happily married for over 7 years.
Kaycee joined our team in May 2011. She’s one of the friendly voices you’ll hear over the phone and a face you’ll come to recognize when you enter the office. Kaycee loves being a contributing part to our patient’s overall dental health, and assisting with insurance and financial arrangements. Kaycee lives in Keller, Texas with her son Sawyer.
